My darling 4-year-old baby girl, Harmony. This pic was taken the first day she came to her new home last November. She has been in dressage training 4 days a week and one day lunging since then. And, she is coming along quite splendidly. Her balance has improved, she is so willing and eager to please and doesn't have a mean bone in her body! Well, let me amend that ... if she doesn't see me every day she definitely lets me know she is not happy.

She is 16.2 hands and weighs approximately 1300 lbs. Let me tell you, if she accidentally steps on your foot, you definitely know it! And she is such a little social butterfly; everyone loves her. We took her for extra training a couple weeks ago and my friend said that if by some chance she threw off my trainer, she would go for the girl, my husband was to shut the door, and don't worry about the horse ... she will go straight to Mary. LOL. But Harmony was as good as gold. Of course, we are having our teenage mare things. Like "I'm not ready to come in yet. I will go across the field, but not up to the gate. You're taking my friend in? Oh, all right, I'll come too." "You want me to what? Go in the horse box? Oh no I'm not. No, I'm still not. Nope, you can't make me." That day we literally had to manually lift each foot and put it forward foot by foot until she was in the box. "Hmmm, someone's pushing on my back...ooh that's uncomfortable...oh Mom's giving me a carrot ... OK, you can do whatever you want."
So, that's my life. And in between I am trying to design and make jewelry. I have quite a few pieces that are finished, but I need to find the time to photograph them. Ahhh one day soon.
